Exterior Formerly a Victorian school, this wonderful hotel, grade II-listed, is the perfect place to stay. Close to Swindon, minutes from the M4 (J16), yet set in the Wiltshire countryside, on the borders of the Cotswolds.

Business travellers will welcome all the usual business facilities including free wifi internet access and meeting rooms. Car hire, station and airport transfers can be arranged. Seafood, particularly oysters, mussels and scallops, are our speciality. Log fires will be burning in Winter, the outside terrace will be serving cool drinks and delicious food in the Summer.

• Avebury Stone Circle (20 km)- Largest stone circle in Europe dating from 4000 BC. comprising substantial outer bank with inner ditch.Avebury Manor & Garden (N.T.) located here. Great to walk here from Hackpen Hill along the Ridgeway.
• Bowood House, Calne (20 km)- Historic house in beautiful parkland with an amazing Adventure Play Park. Golf Club open to public.
• McArthur Glen Designer Outlet (8 km)- Set within the renovated Swindon Great Western railway Works over 100 outlets offering up to 50% off designer brands. Next door is Steam Museum telling the story of the people who built the Great Western Railway.

In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

CHILD POLICY: Children older than 10 years are considered adult for room occupancy.
Children no older than 3 year(s) can stay for free.

COMMENTS: All guests are checked out by email, fax or post on departure. Payment for room charges is taken one working day prior to arrival with the remainder of any charges charged on departure. Reservations of 4 or more days duration will incur a non refundable deposit of 20% charged to the credit card on the day that the reservation is made. Reservations for guests with a different person's credit card will not be accepted. Credit card holders are required to be present. A £50.00 non refundable deposit is required for special offers. Peak period bookings require full prepayment 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations not taken up by 22.00 hrs are deemed as 'non arrival' unless prior arrangements are agreed. 'Non arrival' reservations are charged in full.
